Return to menu after chapter

Hi,

I want to make a "Bonus Features" style section to my dvd. Can you set a certain chapter (e.g. Chapter 5 of 6) to return to the main menu instead of it playing out the rest of the movie?

What product are you using?

If you are using Power Director 7 or earlier, or Power Producer (any version) you cannot do what you want to.

If you are using Power Director 8, that has a different menu structure and you should be able to do it. However, in the current build there is a problem and it doesn't work properly (unless it has been fixed in the last few days). You can set up your menu to play a particular chapter (title) and return to the menu, but you cannot at the same time have the option to play the whole movie right through from start to finish (it will just play the first chapter (title).

To add your Bonus Features to your DVD you create a separate project for those features, and save it. Open your main project and in the Create Disk section you add your saved project as a new title to the menu.

I now have another problem, every time I try to create a disc, it gets to the end and then it crashes.

Try creating a DVD folder instead of burning the disc directly. If that works then you can use third party software eg Nero to burn your disc.

I have tried to figure out what you said and I can not get a 2nd title on the menu... can you please be more specific? I'm using PD7

Those instructions referred to PD8.

With PD7 you will need to create separate projects for each of your "titles" and Produce them. Then start a new project and import the produced files into that. Make each of the produced files a chapter in the new project and they should then appear on your menu.
