Congratulations Morgan -

You are the millionth member to ask the same question! You WIN THE BIG PRIZE, which could arrive at any time...

While you're waiting (and this is the reason so many people can't figure it out)... when you have made your video and go to Produce, click on YouTube at the top... there you set you preferences for uploading to DirectorZone.

I agree - it's rather odd - you'd think CyberLink would have put a direct link to DirectorZone, which also happens to be a product of CyberLink.

Cheers - Tony

I may be wrong here, so someone correct me if I am.
But the reason that the method for uploading a video to the Director Zone, is in the Youtube uploader, is because you don’t actually upload a video to the DZ.
The DZ just uses Youtube's embed link for our videos, to embed our Youtube videos into the DZ's Video Gallery and player.
And this only happens if you check the box that allows your video and timelines to be displayed in the DZ Video Gallery.
The only thing that is actually uploaded to the DZ, is your timeline. And again, only if you click the box to share your timeline with the DZ, thus allowing the DZ player to display it in sync with the embedded Youtube video.

I suppose doing it this way, saves Cyberlink a lot of bandwidth.
But it would indeed be nice if the DZ Video Gallery were an independent video sharing site, so we wouldn’t have to upload videos to Youtube, in order to get them to display on the Director’s Zone site.

Again, if I’m mistaken, someone please correct any misinformation I may have just proffered here.

I believe you are correct Cranston....I have also noticed that if the video is viewed on Director Zone, the view Count stays within DZ and does not make its way to YouTube. Someone correct me if I am mistaken.

The view counts for my video "Wedding Extravaganza" do not coincide between DZ and YouTube, so I thought that must be the case.
