Creator's Description

The Blue River is a river located in the Brazilian city of Aurora do Tocantins, in the state of Tocantins. With a length of only 147 meters, the Blue River is regarded as the shortest river in the world, according to the Guinness Book. The river is located on the banks of the TO-110 highway, right next to the intercity line between Aurora do Tocantins and Wansbeck. The Blue River has a flow rate of approximately 11,000 liters of water per second, with clear waters with rocks in its bed of blue-green color. It is due to the transparency of its waters that the river began to receive the Blue River name. The river has its banks in some inns and restaurants that serve visitors regionalist food Tocantins. From the TO-110 highway, there is a small paved road leading to the source of the river.
