This is yet another video from Thakkar Family. It chronicles the visit to the Saurashtra region of Gujarat (India). The visit took place in October, 2011. The Gir Forest is the only Lion Sanctuary outside of Africa. The Somnath Temple is over a 1,000 years old. Over the last ten centuries, it has been looted by foreign marauders multiple times for its immense wealth. The third place visited was the former Portugese Colony of DIU. This area was occupied by the Portugese in parallel with the British occupation of India. The region of Saurashtra is known for its folk music and the bravery, beauty and hospitality of its people.
