Every believer desperately WANTS to believe that he or she is being led by the Holy Spirit. However, the Bible clearly tells us NOT to ASSUME that we are right, we are instructed to MAKE CERTAIN that we are right and in good standing, (2 Corinthians 13:5; 1 John 4:1). So how can we truly be certain that we are being led by the Holy Spirit, and NOT being led by deceiving spirits, (1 Timothy 4:1-6)? Scripture is remarkably clear on how the Holy Spirit will lead YHWH's people.
