Marin LAFCO director Keene Simonds visits the Marinwood CSD and tells them his agency is responsible for future planning of the Marinwood CSD sphere of influence. LAFCO is the Local Agency Formation Committee and is the overseer of many districts. It is directed by Supervisors Susan Adams, Judy Arnold, Kate Sears and city council people. Marin County, especially Marinwood, has been up in arms after Plan Bay Area and the 2012 Housing element placed 71% of all affordable housing allocations in its district. New Marinwood CSD directors were elected to fix the CSD finances and to articulate a voice for the people of Marinwood who are 85% opposed to the plan. LAFCO comes to visit to "discuss the future".
