Finally got the accelerometer calibration to work, basically because I'm an idiot. Also wrapped gps components in kapton tape as recommended, and now getting gps lock almost instantly after initializing. I was about to throw the towel in on this thing, but she's back to flying like new and even better. GPS lock now in backyard that is surrounded by trees. It never got lock here before.
