The Common Octopus at Mandahl Bay

Creator's Description

A master of color change, the Common Octopus is a year-round resident of Mandahl Bay. They can be easily found around the piled rocks of the jetties surrouning the channel entrance. They live on average only three years and the mothers starve to death protecting up to 100,000 eggs in their tentacles. These octopuses are very adept at changing both their skin color and shape to match the surrounding environment.
