The Herbfarm's "1-Mile Vineyard Project" began in March 2014 with a month of pruning the 2000 Pinot Noir Vines. Now the grapes have reached 16% sugar and the birds have become interested. So, using our new yellow steel netting applicator, vineyard owner Steve Snyder drives the tractor as The Herbfarm crew positions our netting over the vines. The harvest should be in about 3 or 4 weeks. The finished Pinot Noir should be ready for initial tasting in about 2 years.
