The Derby - Buxton - Derby legs of "The High Peak", a Vintage Trains excursion from Tyseley to Buxton on 23 October 2010. It was hauled by ex LMS "Black Five " 45305 and it made light work of the ten coach train apart from a struggle over the last mile or so of the run into Buxton. The freight only line from from Great Rocks into Buxton proved a challenge and the loco slipped to a halt on several occasions. It won through after setting back three times, and with the help of hand sanding of the line ahead by the support crew.
