The event was the 8th annual Sports Trivia Championship held at Chaifetz Center in Saint Louis, MO, for the benefit of Saint Patrick Center., a local support center for the homeless and unemployed. About 1000 contestants competed for prizes exceeding $50,000. Time-lapse photography use a Microsoft Lifecam HD5000 controlled by AZcendant HandyAVI running in the background on one of the servers.
