Bill Portman starts the song with Bob Silva singing the lyrics. The first recording of the song was by Sam Lanin and his Orchestra on Okeh, recorded March 20, 1924. First film appearance was when the song was performed by Ruth Etting in the 1936 short film Melody in May, next by Priscilla Lane in the 1939 film The Roaring Twenties, and by Danny Thomas in the 1951 film I'll See You in My Dreams - Wickipedia
