B. N. Peacock, auhor of "A Tainted Dawn", set during the French Revolution, talks to a colonial re-enactor about the 1766 French Charleville Musket at the VA Museum of Transportation. He explains that after several rounds gunpowder gummed the barrel, reducing the musket's efficacy . He also demonstrates loading and firing.
